Recovia was incorporated in 2010 together with a leading Swedish investment house in order to produce and sell renewable power based on landfill gas thereby solving problems related to landfill gas emissions from landfills in Eastern Europe. During a short period of time, power-generating businesses were established in Poland, Belarus, Romania and Russia.
All but our Belarusian companies have been successfully divested to local investors in order to focus on new, emerging geographies. Recovia in Belarus is today a successful business producing and selling power from multiple landfill gas-to-power installations and the company employs our technical team responsible for operations and technical know‐how.
Together with local partners we want to take a holistic approach and implement and operate efficient waste-to-energy plants for the benefit of the local ecology and economy. Our primary focus is landfill gas‐to‐power but we are exploring alternative technologies to produce cheap and clean energy from waste.
Our know-how covers the whole value chain; from contractual relationships with various stakeholders, financial modeling, technical design, implementation of best practice technologies as well as efficient operations. Thereby we can act as a single partner for investors determined to carry out a waste-to-energy project.
